Wedding flowers

Yesterday Jess, Jadah, Margaret and I went to the hall to see what was needed for flowers. Not much is needed except the centerpieces. We started by meeting Jess at her work-she works in the floral department and does a lot of weddings. Since getting our dresses she has been thinking about the style, colors and came up with a beautiful yet simple bouquet.

The bouquet shown is not exactly what she put together-it has a few more flowers in it than we will. Ours will also have banana leaves surrounding it for the punch of green.

The boutonnieres will look similar to the ones below.

Accomplishments

A lot got done today. Jon cleaned the basement. Mike installed the entry way light (the Dave fixture). Mike and I nailed in the floor trim in the kitchen. Mike and Jon are now fixing Polly's bench. The leak we thought was in the laundry room was actually the hose being clogged on the AC drain. And finally, the water softener was fixed (new hose to drain).

The Dave Fixture

thank you Dave! I finally found the light fixture that will go in our entryway. It was hard to find-I had to go to Ebay. I was looking for something that wasn't too feminine (current chandelier is crystals) and didn't point upwards to collect dead bugs and dust. This just arrived today-can't wait to get it hooked up!
