Vegas

What a trip. I don't want to write a novel. I had so much fun. I hope everyone else did too. It was great to experience this with a great group of friends. Check out facebook for all the photos.

I was the last to sign up for a Ladies Pampering session. It included silky hands, feet and lips. It ended up being a Mary Kay salesperson. She was hilarious and there were two other ladies there that had the whole room going. What was supposed to be an hour ended up being almost 2. Jason saved me from having to buy anything when I looked out the window and saw him checking in. I said, I see my husband's brother I better go get him.

The guys waiting for Sirens of TI to start. It was canceled because it was too windy. Then a pretty girl walked by.

It was all of our first time in Poncho seating, but it was Knute's first time at a Blue Man Group show.

We won money and lost money - not sure how we all ended up, but we had fun and that's what counts.

Spa Day Deux

It was an absolutely beautiful day. I walked this morning with Polly for a straight 6 miles. Then got ready for spa day!

We had lots of fruits and salad. I made a spinach salad that a friend makes for work pot lucks. It was a hit. Cat made 3 or 4 different kinds of smoothies. We moved the drinking of smoothies outside because it was so nice out. That turned into foot soaking and massages. Others had hair mud masks applied. Some of the ladies had a turmeric mask which turned their faces a little yellow temporarily. We moved inside and had some salad and fruit. There was ear candling again and everyone had a turn on the Chi machines.

A Great Day

Today was a beautiful day. I don't know what the temp was, but I had to walk 4 miles for training today. I walked one mile at lunch by walking to Milios and back. Then decided to go straight home instead of the gym. Polly and I went for a 3 mile walk around Palmer Trail. I normally don't like going for long walks with Polly because she pulls quite a bit. I used a retractable leash. She did very well. Every time a person went by (with dog or on bike) I pulled her in really close. After a while she would see someone coming and just came to my side. Otherwise, she had the full reach of the leash the entire walk. No pulling.

Then we got home and there was Jon cooking dinner. Not just any dinner. Spaghetti Bolognese from my Weight Watchers cookbook. Delicious. Now I know he can really cook-this was a complicated recipe. You had to chop vegetables and cook different parts at different times.

It was a great day...and it's a 3 day weekend. Yay!
