We had a few issues with Polly growling and charging kids when they walked by. She always pounces and then backs off . I tried to get a couple kids to give her treats, but she wouldn't take them. It has worked great with Jodi's daughter Gracie. Gracie is not afraid of Polly and Polly is getting to the point where she knows Gracie is here to give her treats. So we have the 2 year old size okay; it's the 3rd-5th grade we need to work on.
No one let me do anything. I understood that I would not be hauling wood or chopping any wood. But I was surprised when they told me I couldn't help with making the community meals (no chopping potatoes). If I was sitting and chopping they were okay with that. Everyone was also very mindful of their second hand smoke. I was a bit "over-protective" in that I didn't want to use Deet. This caused me to miss out on a lot of the campfires because I couldn't stand the mosquitoes. It was nice to just go back to the camper, feel the breeze go through all 3 open windows and listen to the music from afar. I got a lot of needle point done.
This one is my favorite - Bumby and his doggies taking a nap.
See Facebook for pictures from this year and a few years back.
